Air Berlin and Pegasus Airlines start cooperation

Air Berlin, Germany’s second-largest airline company, and Pegasus Airlines, Turkey’s largest privately-owned airline, have started working together. As of today, selected flights of both airlines will be listed on www.airberlin.com and www.flypgs.com, and the websites will be linked. In this manner, travelers will benefit from a more extensive flight offer. Using Air Ber-lin’s Internet portal, travelers will be able to book 17 additional connections from Germany to
Turkey as well as 26 routes within Turkey. A client who decides to book one of these flights will be redirected to www.flypgs.com. In the same manner, selected Air Berlin flights within Germany and Europe as well as long-haul flights can be booked via the Pegasus Airlines website.

The cross-linking of the two websites will provide both airline companies with new opportuni-ties for growth in important markets. Joachim Hunold, CEO
Air Berlin: “We are pleased with the first stage of our cooperation with
Pegasus Airlines. The cross-linking of the Internet portals will enable
Air Berlin to increase its presence on the Turkish market. In return, Pegasus Airlines will benefit from having greater access to the German market.”
Ali Sabanci, Chairman of Pegasus Airlines: “We are a perfect match. Pegasus Airlines and Air Berlin have very strong presence in Turkey and Germany and both have changed the way our guests fly in our respective home markets. This cooperation is only the beginning to serve our customers better.”
