Passengers under 2 years of age (0-24 months) are considered to be baby passengers. Babies under 1 week are not permitted to fly even if accompanied by their parents. From the first 48 hours until end of the first 7 days, mother and the baby can only travel with the permission report from the doctor. Flight security regulations state that an adult can accompany only one baby on a flight.
It is compulsory to fill in an Unaccompanied Minor Travel Authorization Form, which must be signed by the parents or a legal guardian. Unaccompanied minors will be escorted to the plane by ground staff before the scheduled departure time and will be handed over to the flight crew. The child's parents or legal guardian must wait at the airport until the flight has departed. Upon landing, the child will be handed to the ground staff who will deliver the child to the person waiting for him/her.
