Antalya International Film FestivalThe sound of cinema will this year be heard from one of Turkey’s most important festivals, the Antalya International Film Festival.
Last year, the International Golden Orange Film Festival adopted its new name, Antalya International Film Festival. It has been the most important festival, and some might say the apple in the eye, of Turkish Cinema for over half a century. The fame of this festival, which began in 1964 with the intention of developing Turkish Cinema and supporting film-makers, has long since spread beyond the country’s borders. Today, film lovers at the festival can enjoy choice films from the Middle East, Asia and the Mediterranean. Not withstanding numerous difficulties over the years, this festival has risen stronger after every setback and is determined to write its name amongst the most important film festivals in the world. The Antalya International Film Festival was established with the support of Antalya Municipal Authority and, since 1985, the Antalya Foundation for Culture and Arts. Its most famous icon is the gold Venus statuette presented as an award.
The Antalya International Film Festival offers unforgettable films, alongside a packed programme of varied entertainment. For everything else you want to know, please visit www.antalyaff.com
