BEMUSBEMUS brings classical music to the white city, Belgrade, laying out a magnificent feast of melodies for you.
Directing all classical music lovers towards the skies of Belgrade! We want to make sure you know about a music festival that is not only Serbia’s oldest, but also one of the most important music festivals in South East Europe. Yes, you guessed correctly, we’re talking about the Belgrade Music Festival. Also known as BEMUS, this festival offers an activity programme packed with orchestras and musicians invited from all over the world. BEMUS is organised by CEBEF, along with the Belgrade Festivals Centre, and has been thrilling audiences with classical music since way back in 1969. The international fame of the festival, which started as a way of supporting local musicians, is a testament to its success. We recommend you make sure this festival is on your calendar, especially the Opening Ceremony. The BEMUS programme takes place in different venues across the city, such as the Sava Centre and Kolarac Hall, and we’re confident that you’ll know it off by heart soon enough.
