Starting out as a male-only event when it began in 1990, the Kremlin Cup opened its courts up to the prowess of women in 1996 and, as well as being the country’s first international professional tennis tournament, it is also one of Moscow’s most significant sporting events. The tournament, which has taken place on covered courts at the Olympic Stadium since its first year, also has the distinction of being the premier of the Women’s Tennis Association Tour. At the Kremlin Cup, you will not only get the chance to watch established, world famous tennis stars, but also get to preview some of the stars of the future.
