Germany’s quaint city of Stuttgart, which is so colourful it almost feels as if it has jumped out of an animation film itself, seems in perfect harmony with the International Festival of Animated Film. With competitions for young film-makers as well as film screenings, there is no shortage of things to do at this event. The festival’s aim is to bring film professionals together with animation devotees at the start of their careers. It’s fame has long since spilled over the borders of Germany, contributing to the fact that it is now one of the major animation festivals in the world. It would be a shame not to explore such an adorable festival.
