Although Moldova is not part of the European Union, European Union citizens can visit the country without any visa requirements. In addition to that, Turkish citizens, Switzerland citizens also don’t need any visa to enter the country. Moldova short-stay visa is the tourist visa for citizens who need to get a visa before entering the country. A Moldova Visa can be issued in 15 days. However, the duration might change depending on additional document requirements. While the application process is often completed in 15-days period, there are other cases which can take up to 30 days depending on the visa type or additional document requests. Also, the time to get a short-stay visa and long-stay visa may differ.
Getting a multiple entry tourist visa is possible. The Republic of Moldova issues multiple entry visas which can be valid for 6 months, 1 year or 3 years.
Since Moldova is not included in the European Union, the Moldova Visa does not grant access to the Schengen Region. If you are planning to travel to one of the Schengen countries, you need to apply for a Schengen visa. However, it is possible to enter Moldova with a Schengen visa.
