Both the historical richness and natural beauty of Jordan are quite many. Here are the must-see attractions of Jordan:  

• Amman city: Amman, the capital of Jordan, has been an important settlement since ancient times. Today it is a modern city famous for its skyscrapers. You can visit many historical monuments in the city, or you can shop in the shopping centers.
• Amman Al Balad: Al Balad region of Amman city is famous for its street food. You can try hummus, falafel or many other local dishes here in this authentic neighborhood.
• Dead Sea: Also known as "Lut Lake", it is one of the saltiest lakes in the world. This lake is below sea level and it is the lowest point in the world. You can cool off in the lake, but beware! Don't put your head in water because it's too salty.
• Petra: This ancient city is a hidden paradise! You can go to the city by crossing a long corridor. As being one of the wonders of the world, Petra will fascinate you with its monastery, “Treasure” area, and stone-carved structures.
• Wadi Rum: You can watch the sunrise and sunset in this unique desert and take a safari tour. This is where the desert scenes of famous movies such as “Transformers” and “Arabian Lawrance” were shot.
• Aqaba: Jordan's only port city, Aqaba, has great importance for both trade and tourism. Aqaba has fantastic beaches. You can enjoy the blue shores in one of the various holiday resorts here.

Things to Know Before Visiting Jordan

• Jordan does not require a visa for Turkish citizens, in their travel less than 90 days. European citizens should get a visa on their arrival at Jordan.
• There is more than one type of climate in Jordan. The dry tropical climate prevails in the valley and the hot climate in the mountains. In summer, it can be up to 50 degrees in the valley. Winters in Jordan are usually warm but can be cold in the desert.
• In Jordan, public transport mostly consists of buses. Although public buses are much more affordable compared to a taxi, usually buses do not follow a timetable. For that reason, when you are in a rush, we suggest you use a taxi. On the other hand, when you have time, you can experience public buses because they have a great variety of routes.
• There is no public transport card used in the country.

The distance between the airport and the city center is 30 km. To get to the city center, you can either take a taxi which takes you to the city center in 45 minutes; or take a bus called Sariyah Airport Express Bus. The bus reaches the city center in 60 minutes and it works between 06.30 and 00.00.
