• Watch a Night Show in the Royal Opera House: Royal Opera House in Muscat is an architectural masterpiece that was completed in 2011. It is a fascinating landmark to tour during the day while seeing a show in the Royal Opera House at night is a whole another experience.
• The National Museum: The National Museum is located at the heart of Old Muscat, serves both as a contemporary art exhibition and a museum that exhibits selective artifacts representing the rich history of Oman.
• Buy Souvenirs from Muttrah Souq: While Muscat has many modern shopping malls and avenues, Muttrah Souq still is one of the most vibrant commercial areas of Muscat. There are plenty of authentic Omani products you can buy from the souq ranging from ornaments to textile, shisha pipes to household items.
• Visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque: Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, located in the central Muscat, is the spectacular modern Islamic landmark of the city that amazes every visitor with its vastness and beautiful architecture.

• Almost half of Oman’s population is made of expatriates and this multicultural social structure of the country provides a large number of international restaurants and cultural events you can enjoy.
• Oman is one of the hottest countries you can visit during the summer. If you are planning to visit Oman during the season, it is important to keep yourself hydrated.
• Although it is not forced by the law, women and men are expected to cover their shoulders and knees in public spaces.
• It is not recommended to display affection with your partner in public spaces. Displaying affection is not a federal crime but is culturally unwanted.
• Oman does not have a convenient public transport network and taxis are widely used by visitors. It is recommended for you to negotiate the fare before hopping in or use taxis that have meters. Taxis also operate with higher fares at night and national holidays.
• Friday is the resting day of the week in Oman, equivalent to Sunday in western countries.

Muscat International Airport (MCT) is located 10 kilometers away from the city center. You can get to the city center with public bus, taxi, and rental car from the airport. Public buses are available on the ground floor outside the airport building with 30-minute intervals during the day. You can also use taxis available at the airport 24/7.

You can also rent a car with Pegasus privileges if you want to consider a more comfortable option for city transportation when you arrive in Oman for business or leisure.
